Accessibility
How this site is built to be usable, and how to tell us when it is not.
What we aim for
This site is built to meet WCAG 2.1 level AA. Accessibility is checked automatically on every build, not only at the end.
What is in place
- Text and background colour pairs are measured against the AA thresholds, not estimated.
- Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, and the focus indicator is always visible.
- A “Skip to main content” link is the first thing a keyboard reaches.
- Every form control has a real, visible label. Required fields are marked in text as well as with an asterisk.
- Form errors appear beside the field they belong to and in a summary at the top that receives focus, with a specific message rather than “invalid input”.
- Colour is never the only way an error is signalled.
- Every image has alternative text, and decorative graphics are hidden from screen readers.
- Pages use semantic HTML headings and landmarks.
- Animation is reduced automatically when your device asks for that.
- Layouts work from 360px upwards without horizontal scrolling, and controls are large enough to tap.
- There are no automatic carousels or content that moves on its own.
Known limits
The embedded map on the Contact page is provided by Google and we do not control its accessibility. The address and directions link beside it work without the map.
